Paint sprayers, sometimes known as finishers or coatings specialists, work either as production line sprayers or construction site sprayers.

Production line sprayers apply finishes to manufactured articles such as new vehicles, white goods - ovens, fridges and dishwashers, yellow goods - construction plant vehicles and machinery, furniture and other everyday items.

Construction site sprayers apply protective coatings and decorative finishes to steel structures such as ships and bridges, finishes to the interior and exterior of buildings, and some may work on abrasive blasting to clean structures.
