Bank Cashier Completing the CIB - CIOBS Associateship qualification is a route to achieving manager status Opportunities for work also exist at the head offices of banks in the treasury, training, information technology and human resources departments. There are also opportunities in merchant or investment banking and international divisions of the larger banks. Cashiers would need to complete relevant qualifications or build up transferrable skills. With recent advances in IT and communications technology, many opportunities are available in regional processing and call centres. Some call handling experience is often required.
