Opportunities for UK graduates have usually been restricted to teaching English or working in IT.

Since 1994 there have been careers services at every university in Finland.
Students and employers can place resume and vacancies on some of these websites themselves.
All career services encourage networking and self-marketing skills and run courses in effective job seeking.
The facilities and services offered by each university careers service are normally restricted to students of that university.

Public employment services
Many employment offices have international labour advisers or Euro-advisers and there are also placement officers who specialise in dealing with prospective immigrants.

The CIMO Centre for International Mobility in Finland organises a wide range of training and work experience programmes in the following areas:

Finnish universities welcome applications from international students and all have international or foreign student advisers. The cost of living is high but a small number of Finnish government scholarships are available through CIMO Centre for International Mobility.
