universities and educational institutes in China.

Since 2004 the Ministry of Education - China have been implementing a plan that
aims to attract 120,000 foreign students to China by 2007.
The British Academy and the Economic and Social Research Council ESRC jointly
administers an exchange agreement with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
CASS to assist with the exchanges in the humanities and social sciences.
The British Council in China promotes learning opportunities and creative ideas
from the UK.
The council aims to build lasting, long-term relationships between the UK and
China.
To work in China you will require a Z visa, which you can apply for at the
Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the United Kingdom.
If you are in China on a tourist visa, you will still have to return to your
home country to apply for a work visa.
Students should apply for an X visa.
To be eligible for this you will need a JW-201 or JW-202 form issued by the
Ministry of Education - China, and a letter of admission from a Chinese
university, college.
